Incognito at Paradiso, 2003

A little over three weeks after the Ascot gig Incognito played at Paradiso in Amsterdam. It would be the third time within a month that I got to see a concert of my favorite band and that was not a single one too much
This time my sister Ursula, my (by now former) colleague Niel and friends Alex, Rob and Monique accompanied me. A little later my cousin Peter joined us as well, but just as two years ago he was late.
Just like last time we met at the Pizza Hut near the Leidseplein where we wolfed down some pizzas before we joined the long queue in front of Paradiso.
After purchasing the ridiculous membership and selling my left-over ticket we entered and checked our coats at the cloakroom. When entering the main stage we bumped into a surprise ... and to loads and loads of people. I decided to go to the second gallery, together with Niel, Ursula and Alex, in hope of a good and clear view of the stage. What was said was done and this is how 1400 people look like in Paradiso:

Because I couldn't stand up front at the gallery either I was able to only take a few pictures, so you will have to make do with these two pages.
The setlist was basically the same as for the Ollies gig and the band only differed in four players. Instead of Joy Rose it was Imani that was one of the singers, so that was a nice reunion. Also, the horn section was completely renewed and I only caught and remembered the name of Andy Ross. He played flute and sax, but also the trombone and trumpet player were new. And no less than the usual horn section I might add.

During this concert there was room for successively a drum solo, a bass solo and a percussion solo, and that is the reason I made a picture of these three guys, even though Bluey, Kelli and Tony are in the frame.

The entire concert almost burst with joy and quality and that is something you can chalk up to Bluey's efforts. He should become manager of Arsenal, finally making them win the Premiership :-)
That coming from a Man U supporter ... ;-)
